Portable DJ Privacy Policy

Last updated October 24, 2026

App: Portable DJ
Developer: Happy Dead Designs LLC
Android package: com.happydead.dj

Portable DJ turns your phone into a DJ booth: two decks, a mixer, effects, a sampler and a beat machine. The short version: we collect nothing, and the app has no internet access at all.

Data collection

• There is no account and no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
• The app does not have Android's internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere.

Your music files

• The app plays only the files you choose with Android's file picker. They are read on your phone and never uploaded. The app has no access to the rest of your files.

Microphone (optional)

• The app asks for the microphone only when you choose "Record from the mic" to fill a sampler pad, after explaining why. It records only until you tap again (or after 10 seconds).
• The recording is saved only in the app's private storage on your phone and is never uploaded. "Clear pad" deletes it.

Recorded sets and videos

• When you record a mix, it is saved as an audio file in the app's own folder on your phone. "Make video" turns a set into a video on your phone (the app's own Movies folder); nothing is uploaded to make it.
• "Save to phone" copies a set or video into your phone's Music or Movies folder ("Portable DJ"), where your other apps can see it.
• The Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest buttons, and Share, open that app (or your share menu) with the file. Nothing is posted unless you post it there yourself, under your own account and that service's privacy policy. Portable DJ itself has no internet access and never sees your accounts.
• "Delete" in My sets removes a set and its videos from the app; uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored (copies you saved to your phone stay until you delete them).

Children

The app is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
