Rexy's Dino World is a dinosaur learning app for young children: a plush baby dinosaur called Rexy to talk to, 33 dinosaurs to meet, games, coloring, a dance party and bedtime sounds. It is made for children, so it is built to collect nothing. The short version: the app has no internet permission at all, so nothing your child says or does can leave the tablet.

Data collection

• We do not collect, store on a server, sell or share any information about your child or you.
• The app has no internet permission: Android does not let it connect to anything.
• No account, no sign-in, no ads (ever), no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, no location, no camera, no contacts, no advertising ID.

The microphone

• The microphone is used only while your child taps Rexy's microphone button. The words are turned into text inside the app by its own built-in offline speech recognizer (Vosk), or by the tablet's own on-device recognizer. The sound is processed in memory and thrown away at once: it is never recorded, saved or sent.
• Rexy answers dinosaur questions with fixed, hand-written, checked sentences.

The optional chat brain (for grown-ups to turn on)

• Rexy can use a small AI model (Qwen2.5, 0.5B) for pretend play and small talk. It runs only on the tablet, offline, and is off until a grown-up turns it on on the grown-ups page (behind a grown-up check).
• Dinosaur facts, numbers and letters never come from the AI. Every message is checked before it reaches the AI, and every answer is checked before Rexy says it (nothing scary or grown-up, no questions about your child, no numbers or links); anything that doesn't pass is replaced with a kind fixed line.
• On the grown-ups page you can see Rexy's last AI answers and report any of them: a reported answer is saved on the tablet and Rexy never says it again. Nothing is sent to us (the app can't connect).

What stays on the tablet

• Stars, hatched baby dinos and the grown-ups settings, in the app's private storage. Android backup is off. Uninstalling the app erases everything.

Grown-ups area

Settings are on the grown-ups page (the gear on the Games page). Anything that leaves the app (the phone's speech settings) or changes how Rexy talks (the chat brain) asks a grown-up question first.

Purchases

Rexy's Dino World is a paid download (the price is set in Google Play). There are no in-app purchases, no subscription and no ads. Google Play handles the payment.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

This app is directed at children. It collects no personal information from children: it cannot connect to the internet, keeps no recordings, and stores only game progress on the tablet. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to review or delete; uninstalling the app removes everything from the tablet.

Music and pictures

The dance songs and plush pictures were made for the app with AI on our own computers. Open-source licences are listed in the app (grown-ups page > Open-source licences).

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a new date.
